Penguin Anime "Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan" Adds Three Human Cast Members

Ending theme performer also revealed for upcoming adaptation of "healing" manga by Yukiko Natsume

Three cast members and the ending theme performer have been revealed for Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan ("Welcome, Chitose-chan"), an upcoming TV anime based on the "healing" manga by Yukiko Natsume about a baby penguin taking in the sights and sounds of Kyoto.

In Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan, all of the voices for the human characters will be provided by voice actors (and Kyoto natives) Kōji Yusa and Kotori Koiwai, while the narration will be provided by stage / screen actor Shinichi Tsutsumi. This is the first time Tsutsumi has performed narration for an anime.

Additionally, the ending theme, entitled "Nakuko mo Warau" ("Able to Make a Crying Child Laugh"), is performed by Nyanzonu Deshi.

The original Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan manga is serialized in Kodansha's BE・LOVE josei manga magazine. The Okoshiyasu, Chitose-chan TV anime is directed by Kyo Yatate (Bananya) and features animation production by Gathering. The series will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto on Fridays during the 25:35 time slot (actually at 1:35AM JST on Saturday morning) beginning on October 05, 2018.
