Gintama 2 Live-Action Film Surpasses 3.5 Billion Yen Mark

Audio commentary screening will continue until October 18

As reported, Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu tame ni koso Arustill ranked 8th even in its seventh week of release. Then the sequel film's official Twitter confirmed today that its total box office grossing had surpassed 3.5 billion yen in Japan. It has become the third most successful Japanese live-action film of this year so far, behind Japanese idol Tomohisa Yamashita-starring CODE BLUE: The Movie (9.06 billion) and Hirokazu Koreeda's Palme d'Or-winning film Shoplifters (4.31 billion).
