Eromanga Sensei OAV Has a New Deadline in January of 2019

Straight-to-video Japanese release includes two episodes: "Elf Yamada's Love Song" and "Sagiri Izumi's First Kiss"

Originally announced back in November of 2017 with a tentative release date in 2018, the Eromanga Sensei OAV is now scheduled to be released in Japan in mid-January of 2019.

The Eromanga Sensei OAV includes two episodes: "Elf Yamada's Love Song" and "Sagiri Izumi's First Kiss". It will be released in Japan on Bluray and DVD on January 16, 2018, with the Bluray release retailing for 7000 yen ($61.35 US) plus tax and the DVD release retailing for 6000 yen ($52.59 US).

The original Eromanga Sensei light novels are written by Tsukasa Fushimi and illustrated by Hiro Kanzaki and published in Japan by Dengeki Bunko under their ASCII Media Works imprint. The 2017 Eromanga Sensei TV anime is directed by Ryohei Takeshita and features animation by A-1 Pictures. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:

Masamune Izumi is a high school student who writes light novels. Sagiri Izumi is a shut-in who never leaves her room. A year ago, she became Masamune’s little sister. But one day, Masamune discovers a shocking twist—The artist "Eromanga Sensei," who has been drawing illustrations for his novels, is none other than his little sister Sagiri! His cute little shut-in of a sister, who has been living under his roof, is using an obscene pen name and draws lewd illustrations?!
