Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga Artist Kicks off New Shonen Jump Project

Short series THE COMIQ to be part of magazine's 50th anniversary celebration

Manga artist Kazuki Takahashi is returning to the pages of Shonen Jump for a special short-run manga.

The artist behind Yu-Gi-Oh! is creating THE COMIQ, a condensed story about a rookie manga artist named Sakamaki. The manuscript he's currently working on contains a mysterious secret.

Beyond that, that's really all we know for now — except that the story is being described as "suspenseful."

The manga begins in Weekly Shonen Jump No. 46, which hits newsstands in Japan on October 15.
