All Hand-Made Chopper Wins Tokyo One Piece Tower's Cosplay Contest

Halloween-themed fair will be held until the end of this month

As part of its ongoing "ONE PIECE HALLOWEEN 2018" fair, the Tokyo One Piece Tower theme park has been holding "One Piece Narikiri Contest 2018" (narikiri means "turning completely into the role/character") every Saturday, and the winner of its solo division was chosen on October 13.

In the first stage of the cosplay contest, 10 finalists were chosen from 106 participants by the votes of the park's visitors based on their entry photos. Then after their performance on the stage, the all hand-made Chopper portrayed by Souichiro was chosen as this year's winner by the judges. He says, "This is the first time for me to get a prize in a One Piece event. My family helped me to make this costume, so I got this win thanks to their support!"

The contest 's newly-launched "duo/trio" division will be held on October 20, the "kids" division (under the elementary school) will follow on October 27.
