Ganbare, Chibi Godzilla! is a picture book created to celebrate the franchise's 65th anniversary next year. The wee baby kaiju was designed by Chiharu Sakazaki, who also notably draws smart card company Suica's penguin mascot. Projects involving Chibi Godzilla have been underway since this summer, including public transit wrappings and greeting cards.
Toho's official Godzilla YouTube Channel has released a trailer for the picture book, featuring Chibi Godzilla (and other baby kaiju) practicing hard to grow up into fearsome monsters:
The book is now on sale for 1,300 yen.
