The latest crossover film also tops Pia's first day satisfaction ranking
Thanks to various promotional efforts, including the 55 PreCure girls' guest appearance in the recent episodes of the ongoing 15th TV series, the latest PreCure crossover film Eiga Hugtto! PreCure♡Futari wa PreCure All Stars Memories earned an impressive 353,577,300 yen on 309,781 admissions in its opening weekend, easily topping the weekend box office of October 27-28.
The 73-minute film was released in 229 theaters across Japan on October 27. Its opening weekend gross was an amazing 182.9% of that of last year's PreCure fall film KiraKira PreCure à la Mode: Crisply! The Memory of Mille-feuille!, which made 193 million yen in its first Saturday and Sunday. It also topped the PreCure film series' previous opening weekend record of 227 million yen set by PreCure Super Stars! in March of this year.
The film has been also well-received by moviegoers. It ranked No.1 in Pia's first day satisfaction ranking
receiving a very good 92.4 score.
Judging from its record-breaking opening weekend result, PreCure All Stars Memories is expected to end
its domestic run with around 1.5 billion yen and become the top-grossing film in the 15-year-old franchise.
