Animated Castlevania to Whip Up a 10-Episode Third Season

Netflix will continue the saga of Trevor and his comrades

The second season of Netflix's Castlevania animated series recently made its debut with eight new episodes, following up on the first season's four. It didn't take long for Netflix to confirm plans to renew the series for a third season, which will bump the episode count up to ten.

Sam Deats directs Castlevania, with Warren Ellis on board as writer and executive producer and Adi Shankar, Fred Seibert, and Kevin Kolde serving as executive producers.

Here's how Netflix describes the series:

Returning to Netflix for a third season, Castlevania, inspired by the classic videogame series, is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself. Trevor Belmont, last survivor of his house, is no longer alone, and he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.
