Goku to Float Over Us All as Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon

70-foot long balloon will promote the upcoming Broly feature

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been host to giant character-based balloons since 1927, and this year's festivities will mark a milestone for manga. Straight from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise comes Goku, who will be floating high above the streets of Manhattan with his very own Dragon Ball Super-style Super Saiyan Blue form balloon.

Macy's name-dropped Goku in the official press release for the 2018 parade:

Joining the giant character balloon line-up this year will be the famed Saiyan warrior Goku from “Dragon Ball Super: Broly.”

Funimation shared more details, including a closer look at images and a behind-the-scenes video.

The Goku balloon is 70-feet long, 35-feet wide, and 56-feet tall.

The 92nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off in New York City on Thursday, November 22 at 9:00am.
