Back Street Girls -Gokudols- Anime Hits Netflix on December 12

Streaming service sets up a page for the adaptation ahead of its debut


Based on the manga by Jasmine Gyuh, the Back Street Girls -Gokudols- TV anime is finally ready to make its debut in English. The J.C. Staff production is coming to Netflix, which set up a page that lists it for a December 12 premiere. 


Chiaki Kon (Junjo Romantica, Golden Time) directs Back Street Girls, with Susumu Yamakawa on series composition and Mitsuhara Kajitani (Little Busters!, Nodame Cantabile) serving as animation director. Here's how Netflix describes it: 


To pay for an epic blunder, three yakuza brothers are forced to alter their bodies, form a girl group and break into the underground J-Pop idol scene.
