The story centers on Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya, who are brilliant students at the prestigious
Shuichi'in Academy and respectively hold the role of president and vice president of the student council.
Though the two have secretly fallen in love for each other, nothing has happened between them for six months.
Their pride are too high to be honest and would not let them be the one to confess. Instead, they have ended
up thinking about how they can make others confess their love first.
