Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Jingai-san no Yome)-directed comedy will premiere in the spring 2019
In addition to Haruka Tomatsu as its title character Monaka Yatogame, the official website for the upcoming
TV anime adaptation of Masaki Ando's four-panel comedy manga Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki (Yatogame-
chan Observation Diary) has announced two more main voice cast: Yuuki Wakai (voice actress idol unit i☆Ris
member/Leona West in PriPara) as Mai Tadakusa from Gifu Prefecture and Mikako Komatsu (Ayame Kagurazaka
in Eromanga Sensei) as Yanna Sasatsu from Mie Prefecture.
As with Tomatsu who was born in Aichi Prefecture in 1990, where is her character's hometown, the two were
also from the same prefectures as their characters in the anime. Wakai was born in Gifu Prefecture on October
30, 1995, while Komatsu was born in Kuwana-city, Mie Prefecture on November 11, 1988.
The series centers on the daily life of high school girls in the Tokai Region focusing on Nagoya, Aichi, introducing
various sightseeing spots and local foods in the area.
The TV anime adaptation is animated by Saetta (Jingai-san no Yome) in cooperation with Creators in Pack (NTR:
Netsuzou Trap). The latter's president Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Tachibanakan To Lie Angle) serves as general director.
It is set to premiere on TV Aichi and TOKYO MX in the spring of 2019.
Story Introduction: Kaito Jin, a high school student who grew up in Tokyo, transfers to Nagoya, then meets
Monaka Yatogame, who has a strong regional dialect. She has an appearance like a cat and uses the Nagoya
dialect frankly, but doesn't take to him at all. So he starts observations of her.
