Japan Box Office: Dragon Ball Super: Broly Becomes Top-Grossing Film in The Franchise

The first chapter of the PSYCHO-PASS trilogy ranks 7th in its opening weekend

 

According to the latest box office report, Toei Animation's 20th Dragon Ball film Dragon Ball Super: Broly

earned a massive 3.8 billion yen (about 34.77 million US dollars) from its seven-week run. It finally becomes

the top-grossing film in the 33-year-old Dragon Ball anime franchise, surpassing the previous record of

3.74 billion yen marked by Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' in 2015. 

 

Internationally, the film has been released in more than 90 countries/regions, and its worldwide gross has

reached 98 million US dollars.

of the System trilogy anime film project was released in select 87 theaters and ranked seventh in its opening

weekend. It has been well-received by the audience, taking No.1 in Pia's first day satisfaction ranking.
