Game of the YoRHa Edition launches in Japan on February 21
NieR: Automata has a couple of milestones on the horizon. Not only is Yoko Taro's game about to celebrate its second anniversary, the Game of the YoRHa Edition launches in Japan on February 21. To celebrate both, Square Enix lined up a special second anniversary live stream for February 20 at 8:00pm Japan Time.
The event will be broadcast from Square Enix's Ikebukuro Storia Café, with guests including producer Yosuke Saito, director Yoko Taro, composer Keiichi Okabe, PlatinumGames game designer Takahisa Taura, Final Fantasy XIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida, and other special appearances.
As for what the stream will actually entail, Square Enix plans to divulge the latest info on the series, open up a discussion with the developers and other guests, and commemorate the launch of the Game of the YoRHa Edition.
40 guests will be able to attend the broadcast in person for ¥2,500 (about $23)—which includes a drink and a light meal—so you can apply for that if you happen to be in the area.
A worldwide PS4 and PC release for NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition will follow on February 26.
