Following the three voice cast for Touma, Souichiro, and Otomi in the Tachibana family, the official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Mitsuru Adachi's high school baseball-themed manga MIX announced today that popular voice actress Kana Hanazawa is cast as one of the two main heroines, Haruka Oyama.
In the story, the character originally belonged to Meisei High School's rhythmic gymnastics club, but later becomes the manager of the baseball team. She is also the daughter of the team's coach Goro.
Hanazawa says about the offer, "I was so happy because I love watching baseball games and stories about the sport. But after reading the manga, I have thought that there must be so many people who adore Haruka-chan, so I feel a great responsibility." Then she describes her character as, "I think she is a caring and wise girl who can express her feelings with her own words. Even though
she looks perfect, her pace is disturbed by Sou-chan, that part is also adorable. I can find only good
things about her."
And she sends her message to the fans: "As reading the manga, I look forward to voice recording
sessions. Meisei High School baseball team's games, the four characters' exquisite adolescence drama,
and the fateful connection with Touch. Please don't miss to see how the story filled with such highlights
is told in animation!"
