Fur is Going to Fly in GLEIPNIR TV Anime

Main staff revealed for upcoming adaptation based on unusual love comedy manga by Sun Takeda

Love means never having to say "I'm sorry for wearing you like a symbiotic fursuit", or at least that's the general idea in GLEIPNIR, a newly announced TV anime based on the "together we are one" extraordinary love comedy manga by Sun Takeda about a young man who can transform into a monstrous kigurumi and the girl who knows his secret.

The main staff for the production has been revealed, including:

  • Original work: Sun Takeda (serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine the Third)
  • Director: Kazuhiro Yoneda
  • Series composition: Shinichi Inozume
  • Character design: Takahiro Kishida
  • Animation production: PINE JAM

An English language version of the GLEIPNIR manga is published in the U.S. by Kodansha Comics, and they describe the story of the series as follows:

Shuichi Kagaya is an ordinary high school kid in a boring little town. But when a beautiful classmate is caught in a warehouse fire, he discovers a mysterious power: he can transform into a furry dog with an oversized revolver and a zipper down his back. He saves the girl’s life, sharing his secret with her. But she’s searching for the sister who killed her family, and she doesn’t care how degrading it gets: she will use Shuichi to accomplish her mission …

The release date for the GLEIPNIR TV anime has not yet been revealed.
