Smartphone game also on course for spring
If you need your sexy Buddhas and you need them now, don't worry: Namu Amida Bu! is less than a month away.
The anime, part of a multimedia project that also includes a smartphone game, has confirmed that it will be premiering on April 8. The series follows a dozen major figures from Buddhism — all cute guys, of course — who come to Earth to help people find peace.
The project hails from DMM Games, who also created Kantai Collection and Touken Ranbu. The connected game will be playable in browsers and on mobile devices, though there is no word yet on whether it will receive an international release.
Namu Amida Bu! -Rendai UTENA- will air on TOKYO MX. The game is due out sometime this spring.
