Manga adaptation kicks off in July
NoitaminA, Fuji TV's anime programming block, is preparing to make history with Given, its first-ever BL offering.
The anime will be based on the manga of the same name by Natsuki Kizu, about an encounter between two young men: one a guitarist, one with a broken guitar. The lead cast will consist of:
Shougo Yano (Nano Kisaragi, Tsurune) as Mafuyu Satou
Yuuma Uchida (Ash Lynx, Banana Fish) as Ritsuka Uenoyama
Masatomo Yakazawa (Marco, FLCL Progressive) as Haruki Nakayama
Takuya Eguchi (Kyoya Mitsurugi, KONOSUBA) as Akihiko Kaji
Hikaru Yamaguchi (Escha Chron) will direct, with Yuniko Ayana (BanG Dream!) in charge of series composition and animation produced by Lerche (Radiant).
This will mark the first time NoitaminA — which currently runs The Promised Neverland — will run a BL series.
Given is scheduled to premiere in July.
