Adaptation based on romantic comedy manga by Masakuni Igarashi hits the "Animeism" block in April of 2019
A new preview video has been published for Senryu Girl (known as Senryu Shoujo in Japan), an upcoming TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga by Masakuni Igarashi about a young lady with a penchant for a classical form of poetry and a rough-edged young man who shares the same interest.
The original Senryu Girl manga is serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The story of Senryu Girl follows Nanako Yukishiro, a high school student who belongs to the literature club and who loves to express herself through senryu poetry, and Eiji Busujima, a former delinquent boy who was touched in the past by Nanako's kindness and who also joins the literature club.
The Senryu Girl TV anime is directed by Masato Jinbo and features animation production by Connect. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan as part of the MBS / TBS "Animeism" programming block beginning on April 05, 2019.
