GARO -Gekko no Tabibito- Moves Release Date Back to Fall

Film sequel to Makai no Hana will focus on Raiga Saejima

GARO -Gekko no Tabibito- has narrowed down its release date, and it looks like we may have to wait just a bit longer.

The film is a sequel to the 2014 series Makai no Hana, part of the GARO tokusatsu series that has run since 2005. Gekko no Tabibito will focus on Raiga Saejima, heir to the title of Garo and protagonist of the 2014 series.

The film, originally slated for a spring or summer release, is written and directed by GARO creator Keita Amemiya, and stars Masei Nakayama returning to the role of Raiga.

Nakayama commented that he's looking forward to being back with Mayuri (played by Natsumi Ishibashi), Gonza (played by Yukijiro Hotaru), Crow (played by Atom Mizuishi), Zaruba (voiced by Hironobu Kageyama), and — most of all — Amemiya himself.

We'll have to, as Nakayama said, "wait just a little longer" for when GARO -Gekko no Tabibito- opens later this year.
