Announced back in September of 2018, the main staff has now been revealed for Chubyou Gekihatsu-Boy ("Young disease outburst Boy"), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of light novels inspired by the 2015 Vocaloid song by rerulili and kagomeP about a group of young men with delusions of grandeur.
The main staff for Chubyou Gekihatsu-Boy includes:
- Original draft: rerulili (Kitty creators)
- Original work: Minato Tonami (published by Kadokawa under their Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint)

The story of the Chubyou Gekihatsu-Boy novels follows Mizuki Kyoji, an ordinary high school student who transfers to a new school about halfway through her high school career. After changing schools, Mizuki encounters four young men who are suffering from "chunibyou": Noda, a young man who wants to be a superhero; Takashima, a handsome young man who is also an incorrigible otaku; Nakamura, a young man who claims to be the reincarnation of an angel or a devil; and Tsukumo, a young man who claims to be a secret political power broker.
Although the release date for the Chubyou Gekihatsu-Boy TV anime has not yet been revealed, a teaser visal (above) and an official website have been published for the series.
