Adaptation of weight-lifting manga from the author of "Kengan Ashura" hits Japanese TV in July of 2019
Body-building is hard work in a new teaser trailer for Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? (known in English as How much heavy dumbbells can you lift?), an upcoming TV anime based on the weight-lifting manga written by Sandrovitch Yabako and illustrated by MAAM about a high school girl who discovers the joys of intense exercise.
The teaser trailer shoots for a mock documentary style, and it features narration by voice actor Tesshō Genda.
The original Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? manga is serialized in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday digital manga magazine. The Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? TV anime is directed by Mitsue Yamazaki and features animation production by Doga Kobo. The story of the series follows Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves to snack. When Hibiki decides to begin exercising to manage her weight, she gets roped into joining a gym that specializes in extreme muscle-training by her muscle-crazed classmate, Akemi Souryuuin.
Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? will broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2019.
