My Hero Academia 2nd Anime Feature Film to Hit Japanese Theaters This Winter

TV anime 4th season is set to premiere in the fall of 2019

It was announced at "2019 PLUS ULTRA STAGE" in the AnimeJapan 2019 event today that a second all-new feature film from the My Hero Academia anime franchise is officially set to be released in Japan this winter.


As with the first film, the manga's original author Kohei Horikoshi serves as general supervisor and provide original character designs. The previous three TV series and the first film's director Kenji Nagasaki is again attached to direct on a screenplay by Yosuke Kuroda. And of course, the TV anime's character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi and soundtrack composer Yuuki Hayashi join the second film project.

The manga author Horikoshi has provided a newly-drawn colored paper to announce the news. It is now

displayed at the TOHO animation's booth in AnimeJapan 2019.

The anime franchise's first feature film My Hero Academia: Two Heroes was released in Japan on

August 3, 2018, and earned 1.72 billion yen from its domestic run.
