Multimedia music franchise brings us double the anime fun
The girls of BanG Dream! are taking their music to the big screen for a five-band "film live," and preparing for a third season not long after!
The theatrical event appears to be taking the form of an animated concert, with the little information available so far promising "the best stage shows across the country." The film will be released in Japanese theaters in September of this year.
Additionally, a third season of the anime is set to drop in January 2020.
The multimedia project has been seeing continued success via a smartphone game available worldwide, two seasons of anime, multiple singles, and the launching of new bands RAISE A SUILEN and ARGONAVIS. The bands have also been doing well in ratings, with six BanG Dream! singles dominating the Oricon Top Ten on a single day.
The project is also preparing to release one new single per month between May and October, starting with Poppin'Party's 14th single "Dreamers Go!/Returns" on May 15.
