TV anime based on the manga by "Ushio and Tora" author Kazuhiro Fujita continues with third cour in April of 2019
April of 2019 marks the beginning of the third cour of Karakuri Circus, a TV anime based on the dark fantasy manga by Kazuhiro Fujita (Ushio and Tora), and the series is kicking off its latest arc with a dynamic new trailer featuring the new ending theme by BUMP OF CHICKEN. The new ending theme is entitled Gekkou ("Lunar Rainbow").
Karakuri Circus is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video, who describe the story of the series as follows:
After inheriting the family fortune, eleven-year-old Masaru Saiga is targeted by kidnappers armed with bizarre and deadly puppets. He escapes once aided by circus employee Narumi Kato, but the kidnappers soon catch up with them. Just when all seems lost, the two are saved by the mysterious Shirogane who wields her own marionette. From then on, the trio's fates become inexorably intertwined...
The original Karakuri Circus manga was serialized from 1997 - 2006 in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday manga magazine. The Karakuri Circus TV is directed by Satoshi Nishimura and features animation production by Studio VOLN. The series kicked off in October of 2018, and it continues with its third cour in April of 2019.
