Makoto Shinkai's highly-anticipated new film will open in Japan on July 19, 2019
The official website for Makoto Shinkai's forthcoming new anime feature film Tenki no Ko/Weathering
With You has started streaming a 60-second teaser trailer introducing its rainy world visuals, two main
character voices, and theme song "Ai ni Dekiru koto wa Mada Arukai" (Is there still anything that love
can do?) performed by four-member Japanese rock band RADWIMPS.
It is also confirmed that the band provides several songs and all soundtrack music for the film. This is
the second collaboration work between them and Shinkai, following Kimi no Na wa./Your Name. The
theme song for the 2016 film, "Zenzenzense" was one of the top-selling Japanese songs of the year.
Shinkai's seventh feature film is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 19, 2019, distributed by Toho.
