"Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe/Song of the Akatsuki," the second stage play adaptation based on Masashi Kishimoto's internationally popular action manga series Naruto, is confirmed to return to Japanese theaters in Tokyo and Osaka this fall. Its new main visual and three individual cast visuals of Naruto, Sasuke and Itachi are also revealed today.
Following the first play in 2015, the second play was performed in Tokyo and Osaka from May to August in 2017. Both were written/directed by ex-Takarazuka director Akiko Kodama (The Rose of Versailles 2001), who is also known for her directorial works for the stage play adaptations of FAIRY TAIL (2016), Black Butler (2017), and Galaxy Express 999 (2018). She will, of course, work on the upcoming rerun. Koudai Matsuoka and Ryuji Sato, who have played Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha since the first play, are set to return as well.
The rerun of "Live Spectacle Naruto: Akatsuki no Shirabe/Song of the Akatsuki" will be performed at
Mielparque Osaka Hall in Osaka (October 25-November 4), Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo (November
8-10), and Galaxy Theater in Tokyo (November 15-December 1). General sale of the tickets will begin
