Mimori plans to continue working in addition to supporting her new family
Some happy news for fans of voice acting and professional wrestling: voice actress Suzuko Mimori and professional wrestler Kazuchika "Rainmaker" Okada have officially announced their marriage. Rumors that the two had begun dating were confirmed in January of 2018, and now according to posts on Mimori's official blog and Okada's Twitter feed, the voice actress and the pro-wrestler have tied the knot.
The couple allegedly met and fell in love as a result of their work. Okada wrestles for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (owned by Bushiroad), while Mimori has voiced many roles for Bushiroad-related anime, most famously Sherlock "Sheryl" Shellingford in Tantei Opera Milky Holmes and Umi Sonoda in Love Live! School Idol Project.
In an official statement addressed to her fans, Mimori acknowledges that in her marriage she wants to be "a warm, bright, fun, supportive person" like her mother and that she plans to continue to work hard and "to aim for new heights" in her professional career as a voice actress.
On behalf of Crunchyroll, I'd like to extend my congratulations to Mimori and Okada and to wish them many happy years together.
