Adaptation based on Azu's manga about a clueless girl illusionist hits Japanese airwaves in July of 2019
Some quick news for all you fans of magic and illusions and out there: the ending theme song performer has been revealed for Tejina Senpai (known in English as Magical Sempai), an upcoming TV anime based on the seinen manga by Azu about an enthusiastic girl who longs to be a stage magician despite her struggles with stage fright. The as-yet-untitled ending theme is performed by voice actress Minori Suzuki.
The original Tejina Senpai manga is serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine, and an English language version is also published by Kodansha Comics under the title Magical Sempai. Kodansha describes the story of the series as follows:
“I encountered her … a cute, but ‘weird’ sempai!” Magic-loving but stage-fright-addled, this sempai comes with a failure rate of 100%—but you can’t take your eyes off her! The off-color, magical gag manga that's caused an uproar all over Japan is finally here! Here's to non-athletic hobbies!
The Tejina Senpai TV anime is directed by Fumiaki Usui and features animation production by Liden Films. The series will broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2019.
