Evangelion fans can find friends (and love) this year
Every two years or so, Studio Khara and MachiCon team up to run EvaCon, a series of fan con/matchmaking events across Japan for Evangelion fans. Naturally, next summer's new film means it's the perfect time to have another event!
EvaCon is looking to hold events in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka starting in May. Entry will be open to fans at least 20 years old. All attendees will receive Evangelion door prizes. Additionally, there will be team quizzes to help people flex their anime trivia muscles and get to know each other. If you're looking for love and it's essential that your SO shares the same taste in anime as you, it's a great resource.
There are also plans in the works for an "offline meeting" version, giving online friends a place to meet in person, and a girls'-only version.
Each EvaCon meeting has room for approximately 80 people. Applications will be open in advance, with winners announced two weeks before each con.
