Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy VII Soundtrack on Blu-Ray

"Revival Disc" will pair music with scenes from the game

It looks like the music of Final Fantasy VII is due for some major attention — first a concert was announced, and now there's news of a soundtrack Blu-Ray.

The collection, titled FINAL FANTASY VII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK REVIVAL DISC, will feature 85 track by Nobuo Uematsu from the original game. Plus, each track will be paired with carefully selected gameplay footage.

The soundtrack will also include mp3 files, so you can transfer the tracks to your player of choice and have them with you on the go. Some stores will also include a limited-edition postcard with purchase.

FINAL FANTASY VII ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK REVIVAL DISC is due to be released on July 24 for 5,000 yen.
