Live in Godzilla's world May 31
Hollywood's latest take on Toho's Godzilla franchise is just over a month away, and Warner Bros. is kicking the hype into high gear with a new trailer.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will pit the legendary lizard against Mothra, Rodan, and — most notably — King Ghidorah. The new trailer reminds us that there are 17 kaiju all told, and promises no shortage of epic monster fights. Check it out:
The new film follows 2014's Godzilla and 2017's Kong: Skull Island in Legendary and Warner Bros.' MonsterVerse film series. A follow-up, next year's Godzilla vs. Kong, will pit the two beasts against each other for the first time since Toho's own take on the duo. The Hollywood version will not, however, be a remake of 1962's King Kong vs. Godzilla, and the creators have promised that there will be a definitive victor in the upcoming grudge match.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters May 31.
