A survivor is chased through the forest by a dinosaur in the 7SEEDS anime.

After a production snag delayed its initial release from April 2019 until June 2019, 7SEEDS, an anime adaptation based on the post-apocalyptic shojo / josei manga by Yumi Tamura about groups of young people attempting to rebuild human civilization after a cataclysmic meteorite impact, is back on track with a new release date.

7SEEDS will begin exclusive worldwide streaming on Netflix beginning on June 28, 2019.

The original 7SEEDS manga was serialized from November 2001 - July 2017 in Shogakukan's Betsucomi and Flowers manga magazines, and a total of 35 collected volumes have also been published in Japan. The 7SEEDS anime is directed by Yukio Takahashi and features animation production by GONZO. Netflix describes the story of 7SEEDS as follows:

Fresh from cryogenic stasis, the main cast of 7SEEDS confronts an unfamiliar and hostile world.

Natsu awakens to a post-apocalyptic world, only to learn that she'd been cryogenically frozen as part of a program to ensure the survival of humanity.
