The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious TV Anime Debuts in October of 2019

WHITE FOX helms adaptation based on humorous fantasy light novel series by Light Tuchihi and Saori Toyota

The main cast of The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious is ready for action.


Initially announced back in November of 2018, the official release period has been revealed for The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious (known in Japan as Kono Yuusa ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru), a TV anime based on the series of humorous fantasy light novels written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota about a fantasy hero whose skill and prowess are matched only by his anxious need to over-plan everything.



The original The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious novels are published in Japan by Kadokawa under their Kadokawa Books label, and an English language adaptation is also in the works from Yen Press, who descibe the story of the series as follows:


The goddess Lista summons a hero who excels in every area to assist her. He's everything she expected him to be except for one, tiny thing: this anxious hero can't do anything unless he's absolutely sure nothing can go wrong!


The protagonist of The Hero is Overpowerd but Overly Cautious overkills a tiny slime with a flaming sword.


The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious TV anime is directed by Masayuki Sakoi and features series composition / screenplays by Kenta Ihara, character designs by Mai Toda, and animation production by WHITE FOX. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan in October of 2019.
