Touken Ranbu Musical Actor Tsubasa Sakiyama to Star in Yu Yu Hakusho Stage Play

Chuji Mikasano (Tokyo Ghoul TV anime, Touken Ranbu musical) serves as director

A stage play adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's action fantasy shonen manga in the 1990s, Yu Yu Hakusho, is set to be performed in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Aichi this summer. The author's first hit manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1994, and was adapted into anime and games. This is its first stage play adaptation.

  

38-year-old Chuji Mikasano, the series composition writer for the Tokyo Ghoul TV anime (2014) and the director for the Touken Ranbu musical series (2015-2018), serves as writer/director. 29-year-old Tsubasa Sakiyama, best known as Ishikirimaru in the Touken Ranbu musical series, is cast as the protagonist Yusuke Urameshi. The play's official website will start pre-sales for its tickets on May 11.
