The new cast member for Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? includes:

Naruzuo Machio, a smiling trainer in a blue and white track suit.

Kaito Ishikawa as Naruzou Machio, a professional trainer at the gym that Hibiki and company frequent. Machio has studied sports medicine abroad, and he's very familiar with the workings of the human body and proper training techniques.

The opening theme for the series, entitled "Onegai Muscle" ("Please, Muscle"), is performed in-character by Hibiki Sakura (CV: Ai Fairouz) and Naruzou Machio (CV: Kaito Ishikawa). The ending theme, entitled "Macho A Name?", is performed in-character by Naruzou Machio.

The original Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? manga is serialized in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday digital manga magazine. The story of the series follows Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves to snack. When Hibiki decides to begin exercising to manage her weight, she gets roped into joining a gym that specializes in extreme muscle-training by her muscle-crazed classmate, Akemi Souryuuin.
