Kuroko voice actor Kensho Ono has played his character also on the stage for three years
Soon after the last day performance at Fukuoka Civic Hall on Sunday, the official Twitter for the stage
play adaptation project based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki's popular sports manga Kuroko's Basketball confirmed
that it concluded with its fourth show "ULTIMATE-BLAZE." Some fans probably expected an announcement
for a sequel or a spin-off, but their wishes were not realized, for now.
The stage play series launched with its first show "THE ENCOUNTER" in April 2016, then followed by
second show "OVER-DRIVE" in June-July 2017 and third show "IGNITE-ZONE" in April-May 2018.
Its fourth and final show "ULTIMATE-BLAZE" focusing on the final games to decide the winner of the
Winter Cup was performed in Osaka, Aichi, Tokyo, and Fukuoka from April 30 to May 19, 2019. 29-
year-old voice actor Kensho Ono, the voice of the protagonist Tetsuya Kuroko in the Kuroko's Basketball
anime series (2012-2017), played his character also on the stage for three years.
