World Cosplay Summit 2019 Heads to Nagoya in July

Teams from 40 countries will participate in cosplay championship events from July 27 - August 04, 2019

Team Mexico, the 2018 World Cosplay Championship winners, cosplaying as Dhalsim and Chun Li from Capcom's Street Fighter video game series.


The 17th annual World Cosplay Summit is heading to venues in Nagoya from July 27 - August 04, 2019, and this year's events include the World Cosplay Championship, the One Piece-themed Cosplay King Grand Prix, online photo and video contests, and more.



Qualifying teams from some 40 countries all around the world will participate in the final rounds of the World Cosplay Championship, and there will also be other activities such as cosplay parades and photoshoot events. The venues for the Summit include Tokyo Dome City, Oasis 21, Aichi Arts Center, Meiji-Mura Museum, and more.
