Fantasy Food Comedy Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan Reveals Theme Song Performers

Short form series about food fairies in a Japanese shopping district hits Crunchyroll in the Summer of 2019

Strawberry fairies run amuk in a shopping district in the Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan short form TV anime.


The opening and ending theme song performers have been revealed for Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan, an upcoming original short form TV anime that follows the adventures of a flock of frivolous food fairies in a quaint shopping district that resembles Hakata.


The opening theme, entitled "Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan", is performed in-character by Pirikarako-chan (CV: Hiyori Kouno). The first ending theme (for episodes 1 - 6), entitled "Pi-pi-pirika, Pirikarako feat. MEIKA Hime & Mikoto", is performed by [email protected] The second ending theme (for episodes 7 - 12), entitled "Piritto dai suki", is performed by fumika.



Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan is directed by Taketomo Ishikawa and features animation production by G-angle. The series will broadcast on KBC Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting every Sunday during the 6:15 time slot beginning on July 07, 2019.

Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan will also stream on Crunchyroll as part of the Summer 2019 simulcast lineup. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:


Helpful food sprite Pirikarako-chan towers over a shopping district that resembles Hakata.


Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan is set in a mysterious shopping center in a town that is like but also not quite like Hakata. In this setting, a walleye pollack roe fairy named Pirikarako-chan rushes about every day trying to ease the worries and solve the rumors of the other food fairies.
