Modern Dororo Adaptation to Get Official Source Book

Get an inside look at the Tezuka story's latest iteration


Fans of modern Tezuka adaptation Dororo can look forward to more art and info on their favorite series thanks to an official book!


Hailing from the MAPPA ONLINE SHOP starting today, the Dororo OFFICIAL COMPLETE book features 250 pages of behind-the-scenes content. Readers can look forward to staff interviews, design materials for major characters and monsters, art layouts, a look back at the main story, and original artwork from the OP sequence.



Orders will be open until August 31, with books expected to ship out in October.


Dororo was first adapted for television in 1969, with the most recent adaptation coming out this past winter from MAPPA. Based on Tezuka's 1967 manga, it follows a young thief named Dororo and a cursed ronin named Hyakkimaru as they hunt down the 48 demons Hyakkimaru must defeat in order to restore his body.
