Rugby Action Heats Up in Try Knights TV Anime Trailer

New key visual and Japanese broadcast schedule revealed for upcoming original sports anime by GONZO

Akira Kariya explodes into action in the original rugby TV anime Try Knights.

 

High school rugby is hot-blooded in a new trailer (below) for Try Knights, an upcoming original sports TV anime about an unlikely pair of young men who tackle the world of rugby from both a brainy and a brawny perspective.

 

 

Try Knights will broadcast on Japanese TV according to the following schedule:

 

  • Nippon TV: every Tuesday during the 25:59 time slot beginning on July 30, 2019.
  • Yomiuri TV: TBD
  • Sapporo Television Broadcasting: every Wednesday during the 25:34 time slot beginning on August 07, 2019.
  • RAB Aomori Broadcasting Corporation: TBD
  • TV Iwate: every Wednesday during the 25:24 time slot beginning on August 14, 2019.
  • Miyagi TV: every Sunday during the 25:25 time slot beginning on August 04, 2019.
  • Fukushima Central Television: every Saturday during the 26:20 time slot beginning on August 10, 2019.
  • Television Niigata Network: every Saturday during the 25:30 time slot beginning on August 10, 2019.
  • Shizuoka Daiichi Television: every Thursday during the 26:04 time slot beginning on August 08, 2019.
  • Hiroshima Telecasting: every Tuesday during the 25:59 time slot beginning on August 06, 2019.
  • Fukuoaka Broadcasting Corporation: every Thursday during the 26:10 time slot beginning on August 08, 2019.
  • TV Oita: every Wednesday during the 26:29 time slot beginning on August 07, 2019.
  • Kumamoto Kenmin Televisions: every Tuesday during the 25:29 time slot beginning on August 06, 2019.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 25:59 time slot on Tuesday evening is actually on Wednesday morning at 1:59 AM JST.

Try Knights is directed by Tokihiro Sasaki and features animation production by GONZO, and the series is made in cooperation with the Japan Rugby Football Union. The story of the series focuses on Riku Harima, a high school student who approaches rugby from a strategic perspective, and Akira Kariya, a naturally gifted athlete. Despite their clashing personalities, Riku and Akira explore a passion for the sport together.
