Orange (Land of the Lustrous)-animated adaptation is set to premiere in October 2019
The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Paru Itagaki's shonen drama manga BEASTARS has announced its two leading voice cast: Chikahiro Kobayashi (Ranga in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as gray wolf school boy Legoshi and Sayaka Senbongi (Mumei in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) as his love interest, white dwarf rabbit Haru.
The TV anime is directed by Shinichi Matsumi (GARO: CRIMSON MOON sub director), alongside screenplay writer Nanami Higuchi (Little Witch Academia TV series) and character designer Nao Otsu (BANANA FISH sub character designer). Orange (Land of the Lustrous) works on anime production. It is set to premiere on Fuji TV's "+Ultra" programming block in October 2019.

The manga has been serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion since September 2016 and has released 14 tankobon volumes so far. VIZ Media will start releasing its English edition from this July. The publisher introduces its first volume's story as below:
One night at Cherryton Academy, an herbivore student is brutally murdered. Among the members of the Drama Club, the herbivores’ suspicions naturally turn to their carnivore classmates… The prime suspect? Wolf Legoshi. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Or would he? Will dwarf rabbit Haru bring out the beast in him? Or are his feelings for her…something else?
