New My Hero Academia Movie Gets Official Title, Opens in December

Returning staff members bring Heroes: Rising to Japan on December 20

Back in March a second anime film was announced for Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga, and now it has an official title and release date. As revealed during the Hero FES event, My Hero Academia THE MOVIE Heroes: Rising opens in Japan on December 20, and a new visual is here to go along with the announcement.

Kenji Nagasaki is back as director for this one, with Yosuke Kuroda returning to write the script and Yoshihiko Umakoshi on character designs for the BONES production. According to series creator Horikoshi, the movie uses some of the material he had planned for the final battle of the original.
