Re:Zero Heroine Rem Gets Her Glamorous Oiran Costume Figure
250 mm-tall limited item is scheduled to be shipped in February 2020

Tokyo-based company Furyu's high quality hobby brand F:NEX today started accepting pre-orders for a 1/7 scale "Oiran Dochu" costume figure of Rem, one of the main heroines in Tappei Nagatsuki's popular light novel series Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and its anime adaptations. It is a co-produced item with TV Tokyo's subsidiary company in China, Hangzhou TV Animation.
Oiran was high-class prostitutes in the Yoshiwara Yukaku region in the Edo period of Japan (1600-1868). Only in the region, prostitution was recognized by the government. And the original "Oiran Dochu" was a parade of Oiran. They dressed up gorgeously like this figure when they went out to meet their patrons.
The price for the 250 mm-tall item in Japan is 18,900 yen (before tax/about 174 US dollars) and its scheduled shipping date is the end of February 2020. F:NEX's online store will accept pre-orders until September 19.
Purchasers at F:NEX online store will also get a mask of Petelgeuse:
