Dr. Stone Conquers Public Transport with Train Collaboration

Train wrappings and AR stamp rally are in store for the Izu Peninsula

Senku Ishigami is rebuilding humanity one breakthrough at a time. Next on his list? Japan's public transport!

Dr. STONE is teaming up with Izu Hakone Railway to spread the love of shonen anime and science. The railway, which has collaborated with other anime series in the past, will be sporting train wrappings featuring five stars from the series. Fans can enjoy the specially decked-out trains for a full six months.

Plus, Izu Peninsula UNESCO Global Geopark will be hosting an AR stamp rally. Tour the site and learn more about local geology, including terrain formed by volcanoes. Hit all six spots and you could take home a Dr. STONE clear file or some "Izu Amber Ore."

There are also plans for a Dr. STONE day taking place at one of Izu Hakone Railway's stations, with cast members in attendance and other surprises to be announced at a later date.

The festivities begin August 2, with the train wrappings due to be visible until January 2020.
