Maaya Uchida Hacks the Planet for Online Web Security Course

paiza learning's "Hacking for Beginners" teaches how to counter common online intrusion techniques

Voice actress Maaya Uchida plays the role of Mikage Suzutsuki, aka "Shinigami", a high school age hacker in the "Hacking for Beginners" online web security course.

These days web security is a growing concern, and now paiza learning is offering an online course called "Hacking for Beginners" that offers to teach people intro-level online intrusion techniques (and how to counter them) using a high school hacker girl mascot character voiced by Maaya Uchida.

In "Hacking for Beginners", Uchida plays Mikage Suzutsuki, a high school student whose hacking skills have earned her the nickname of "Shinigami" ("Grim Reaper"). In the online course, Mikage acts as a guide and a facilitator for the students, who take on the role of novice "white hat" hackers.

Mikage Suzutsuki, voiced by Maaya Uchida, is a high school hacker with a katana and the shadow of the Grim Reaper looming behind her.

"Hacking for Beginners" uses a combination of video assets and a simulated online environment to teach students common hacking attack techniques - such as SQL injection and XXS (cross-site scripting). The course notes that these are real techniques, and using them outside of the testing in environment could result in running afoul of the law.

In other words, don't try this at home, kids.
