“Kamado Tanjirō no Uta” was sung at the fiery climax of the episode
WARNING: Spoilers to Episode 19 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba to follow. Read on at your own risk.
Within a few hours of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Episode 19 airing, it took the world by storm, becoming one of the top trending topics on Twitter. This was in no small part thanks to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous animation done at UFOTABLE, with a spectacular insert song to elevate the action beyond your regular fight sequences.
The official website for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba announced on August 11 that the insert song, “Kamado Tanjirō no Uta” (Tanjiro Kamado’s Song) will be going on sale August 30.
The song, written by Go Shiina (who is also doing the BGM for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) and featuring vocals by Nami Nakagawa, was used in the climax of the episode when Tanjiro and Nezuko fought off one of the Twelve Demon Moons using their fathers “Hinokami” technique.
Go Shiina partnered up with Nami Nakagawa for the 18th episode of the series for the haunting vocals used in the BGM.
The insert song isn’t up for pre-order yet, but when it is, we’ll be sure to let you know!
