Japanese release is currently slated for sometime this year
As previously reported, this year marks the 20th anniversary for the second game in the Monster Rancher franchise, known as Monster Farm in Japan. It's also been over 22 years since the first entry, and one of the ways the franchise will be celebrating comes in the form of a new port for the original monster-raising RPG.
Hot on the heels of the initial announcement, Koei Tecmo came through with confirmation of plans to bring 1997's Monster Rancher to Switch, iOS, and Android. According to the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, it's due out at some point this year, and you can see a tease in the screenshot and magazine spread below.
