Kemono Friends Project Reveals the New Voice of Fennec

Akane Misaka takes over from Kana Motomiya, who graduated from the role in July of 2019

Fennec and Raccoon pursue a mysterious hat thief in the first episode of the first season of the Kemono Friends TV anime.

As previously reported, voice actress Kana Motomiya has graduated from her role as the voice of Fennec in the Kemono Friends Project - a mixed media project that includes anime, video games, and live music performances - and now voice actress Akane Misaka of Pro-Fit will be taking over the role going forward.

Misaka will perform as Fennec in the Kemono Friends 3 arcade game and smart phone app, as well as in performances with the Doubutsu Biscuits voice unit. Misaka notes that she was inspired to become a voice actress after watching Blood+ in elementary school, that she admires the work of Eri Kitamura and Maaya Sakamoto, and that Kemono Friends sound director Nobuyuki Abe encouraged her to make the role her own when she was feeling nervous in the recording booth.

Misaka is relatively new to voice acting, although she has previously performed roles for the Kanpani Girls smart phone game.
