Flowers of Evil Manga Author Illustrates Live-Action Movie Poster

Shuzo Oshimi combines the best of both worlds in the new visual

The live-action film adaptation of Shuzo Oshimi's The Flowers of Evil manga is on the way in almost exactly a month, so the hype is building. The movie was announced back in November of 2018, and has Noboru Iguchi (The Machine Girl, RoboGeisha, Zombie Ass) directing and Mari Okada (Maquia, Anohana) handling the script.

The latest piece of promotional material comes from manga author Shuzo Oshimi, who whipped up a poster that offers up the perfect blend of the original characters and their live-action counterparts.

Here's a side by side of Oshimi's art and the film's promotional poster:

Here's how Crunchyroll describes the story of the anime adaptation:

FLOWERS OF EVIL revolves around Takao Kasuga, who is caught stealing Nanako Saeki's gym clothes by Sawa Nakamura whose cold attitude makes her generally disliked by everyone. In exchange for her silence, he makes a ‘contract’ with her, in which he must abide by all of her unreasonable demands. Initially torturous, Kasuga wants out until one day when things start to change between them...
